2019 Award Nomination Description

Award Overview

The American Association for Community Dental Programs’ (AACDP’s) John P. Rossetti Community Oral Health Impact Award commemorates Dr. Rossetti’s significant impact on oral health at the local, state, and national levels. It is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding service, commitment, and leadership to improve oral health, especially to the underserved. See list of Past Recipients.

Award Criteria

  • Notable service at the local, state, or national level to improve the health of the community by making comprehensive oral health preventive and treatment services available, especially to the underserved.

  • Visionary, innovative, and original thinking that leads to action, bringing improved oral health policy, access, and/or practices to the community.

  • Leadership in consensus-building by finding common ground upon which to act and overcoming barriers or opposition to efforts to improve community oral health.

Nomination Application Package

  • Award Nomination Cover Sheet.

  • Brief description of the nominee’s qualifications for the award (no more than two pages).

  • At least one, but no more than three, letters of support from individual(s) or organization(s). outlining the nominee’s qualifications.

  • Curriculum vitae or biography that lists the nominee’s recent positions, publications, presentations, grants, awards, and other significant accomplishments.

  • Award presentation: During AACDP symposium, April 14, 2019, Memphis, TN.

Symposium Registration and Travel Support

  • The award recipient will receive complimentary AACDP symposium registration, but AACDP does not have funding to support travel expenses.
